My piece is a powerful and dynamic representation of the discipline of boxing. The use of wire as a medium conveys a sense of lightness and movement, as well as the physical and emotional intensity of the sport. It also adds an element of fragility, as a wire can easily be bent or reshaped.

The AOP Competitions feature student talents from Phoenix College and the District each year. The top entries, Best-in-Show, will be publicly revealed during the Artists of Promise Gala this spring. Some chosen participants may also have the opportunity to showcase their artwork or performance at the Gala.
